Invenergy supports Iowa and Grant County Veterans through Badger Honor Flight

Invenergy donated $3,000 to Badger Honor Flight, a regional chapter of the Honor Flight Network serving 11 counties in southern Wisconsin. Honor Flights provide free transportation, meals, and lodging to ensure that World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and terminally ill veterans from any war have the opportunity to see the memorials that have been erected in their honor.

In 2025, Badger Honor Flight flew 35 Iowa and Grant Counties veterans to Washington DC. Since the chapter’s first flight in 2010, they have flown over 5,500 veterans. Invenergy’s donation will support the upcoming flights this spring, helping more Wisconsin veterans experience this special trip.

"We are grateful for Invenergy's support of our mission: to ensure that those who have sacrificed for their country have the opportunity to see the memorials that honor that sacrifice,” said Brian Ziegler, Badger Honor Flight Board Chairperson. “This donation will help us give that honor to Veterans across southern Wisconsin. Without our supporters like Invenergy, we would not be able to serve so many deserving Veterans."

Badger Hollow Wind is proud to support Veterans in Iowa and Grant Counties and across the nation. Invenergy has received the Department of Energy HIRE VETS Gold Award multiple times for our commitment to recruiting, employing, and retaining veterans.
